Jalebi Seriously Good Dating (A Glimpse)

Jalebi is a Gen Z–focused dating app designed to feel bold, expressive, and full of energy.
The design language leans into vibrant typography, playful color systems, and dynamic UI elements to create a lively, scroll-stopping experience.

This showcase is a glimpse into the direction I crafted for the product.

My Role & Contributions

I led design across both brand and product, ensuring a cohesive and engaging experience end-to-end:

Branding Defined visual identity, tone, and design system

Product Design (UI/UX) Designed core app experience with a focus on Gen Z behavior and engagement

App Store Presence Created Play Store & App Store assets for acquisition and positioning

Marketing Collaboration Partnered on high-production video ads and campaigns

Cross-functional Work Worked closely with the CEO and engineering team to bring the product to life

Jalebi’s design language is built to feel alive—energetic, expressive, and unmistakably Gen Z.
Instead of relying on safe, predictable patterns, the system embraces bold choices in typography, color, and layout to create a strong, memorable identity. Typography plays a central role in shaping the experience. Oversized, expressive type isn’t just for hierarchy—it becomes a visual voice that adds personality and emotion to every screen. This allows content to feel direct, human, and engaging rather than purely functional. Color is used with intention, not decoration. A vibrant, high-contrast palette drives attention, sets mood, and creates rhythm across the product. Each screen feels dynamic, yet part of a cohesive system that ties the brand and product together.

The result is a design system that feels playful yet controlled—crafted to capture attention, guide interaction, and reflect the energy of the audience it’s built for.

A Glimpse, Not the Full Story

What you’re seeing here is not the complete design.
It’s a curated glimpse into my overall process—how ideas were explored, shaped, and translated into a product experience.

From early thinking to visual direction, this highlights key moments of the journey rather than the entire system.
The goal is to showcase the intent, craft, and decisions behind the work—not just the final screens.
